Finishing.

Powder coating.

Alrod are powder coating specialists on aluminium extrusion and die castings. We offer a wide range of colours from our stock powders in epoxy, polyester, metallic or lacquered finishes. Any colour not in stock can usually be obtained within 24 hours from our approved suppliers.

Alocrom Pre-treatment.

It is widely accepted that Alocrom is the finest method of pre-treating aluminium extrusion prior to powder coating. Alrod has a semi automatic de-greasing and Alocrom facility. Components can have the full Alocrom treatment as a preparation for powder coating , or the facility can be used for just de-greasing and cleaning of components.

Polishing.

Whenever trims need to be a bright finish they are polished in order to remove any surface defects prior to anodising. Alrod employ a team of skilled metal polishers with considerable experience in the finishing of aluminium extrusion.

Anodising.

Alrod offers a wide choice of anodised finishes from the chromic acid etch to the fully bright sulphuric process. We can offer a Stannal salt method of colouring starting from a light bronze getting progressively darker to a full jet black. Using organic dyes we can offer a full spectrum of colours such as red, green and blue etc.
